Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the LottoSwitch platform ("LottoSwitch", "the Platform", "we", "us"). By creating an account, purchasing a ticket, or otherwise using the Platform, you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Responsible Gaming Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Platform.

1. The service

LottoSwitch is a technology platform that enables verified game operators ("Operators") to offer approved lottery-style games to players ("you") under the Platform's licence-coverage framework. Coverage applies only after compliance approval and only within the approved jurisdiction, game type, channel, and operating conditions. The Operator of each game is identified on the game page. LottoSwitch provides the platform, payment processing, draw infrastructure, and settlement.

Game types include scheduled numbers draws, raffles, instant-win games, and scratch cards. Each game page states its rules, ticket price, prize structure, and draw date.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Platform. By using the Platform you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

We verify your date of birth before your first game and your identity (NIN or BVN) before any withdrawal, as required by the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022 and applicable gaming regulations.

If we discover that a player is under 18, the account will be closed immediately, any winnings will be forfeited, and stakes may be returned at our discretion, less any amounts required by law.

3. Fair draws

Numbers-game draws are provably fair. Winning numbers are derived from the DRAND distributed randomness beacon, a public, verifiable source of randomness that neither we nor the Operator can predict or control. Draw parameters are committed before ticket sales close.

A ticket is confirmed only when your payment is confirmed. An initiated but unconfirmed payment does not constitute a ticket.

4. Tickets, stakes, and payments

The minimum stake is NGN 100 per ticket.

Ticket purchases are final. Money played into a game is non-refundable, except where a game is cancelled before its draw, in which case stakes for that game are refunded — instantly to your LottoSwitch wallet if you have one, or to your original payment method if you played as a guest.

Payments are processed by Flutterwave. We do not store your card details.

Wallet top-ups attract a deposit fee, currently 2% of the top-up amount, capped at NGN 50, disclosed before you pay. Wallet top-ups are refundable before they are played into a game; money played into a game is not.

We may decline, reverse, or hold transactions suspected of fraud, chargebacks, or money laundering, and report them as required by law.

5. Winnings and taxes

Winnings are credited to your LottoSwitch wallet after the draw is settled.

Withholding tax: a 5% withholding tax is deducted from winnings at the point of payout and remitted to the relevant tax authority, in accordance with Nigerian tax law. The deducted amount serves as a tax credit to you. We maintain records of all deductions.

Withdrawals are paid only to a bank account bearing your verified name. Before your first withdrawal you must complete identity verification (NIN or BVN) and set a transaction PIN. The minimum withdrawal is NGN 100.

6. Your wallet

Your wallet balance is held in a ledgered account. Wallet funds are not a bank deposit and do not earn interest.

You are responsible for keeping your transaction PIN and login credentials confidential. Transactions authorized with your PIN are treated as authorized by you.

7. Account closure

You may close your account at any time from your profile page.

On closure, balances of NGN 150 or more are transferred to your verified bank account after PIN confirmation. Balances below NGN 150 cannot be transferred (below the payment network's minimum transfer amount); they are held for 90 days after closure and you may claim them via support with proof of identity within that window. Unclaimed balances lapse to the Platform after 90 days. The closure screen shows your balance and this consequence before you confirm.

Closed accounts cannot be reopened.

8. Player conduct

One person, one account per Operator storefront. Syndicated or automated play designed to manipulate games, bonus abuse, or use of another person's identity or payment instrument is prohibited.

We may suspend or close accounts, void tickets, and withhold funds where we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering, underage play, or breach of these Terms, subject to applicable law.

9. LottoSwitch Powerball

The Powerball is a platform-wide prize pool funded by 3% of gross ticket sales across participating games (during an operator's affiliate referral window, that 3% is paid to the referring affiliate instead).

Eligibility rules (minimum tickets, lookback window) are set by the Platform and published on the Powerball page. The more qualifying tickets you hold, the higher your chance of winning — chances are proportional to ticket count.

Powerball winners are selected by a weighted random draw derived from the DRAND public randomness beacon: the qualified-player snapshot is locked and committed to a future beacon round before the randomness exists, so neither the Platform nor any Operator can influence the outcome. Draw records — winner, prize, DRAND round, and operator commissions — are published, and anyone can recompute the result. The winner receives 95% of the pot; 5% is paid as commission to the Operator(s) whose games the winner played, proportional to the winner's ticket counts.

Powerball prizes are subject to identity verification and the withholding tax in clause 5 before payout.

10. Errors and malfunctions

If a draw, game, or payment is affected by a technical error, we may void affected tickets and refund stakes. Malfunction voids all pays and plays. Obvious pricing or prize errors may be corrected; affected players will be refunded or notified.

11. Data protection

Your personal data is processed per our Privacy Policy, in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

12. Responsible gaming

Play responsibly. Our Responsible Gaming Policy sets out deposit limits, cool-off periods, and self-exclusion tools available in your wallet settings.

13. Liability

The Platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of your wallet balance or the stakes you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for failures of payment networks, banks, telecommunications, or the DRAND beacon, nor for indirect or consequential loss.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-product at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Complaints: contact support@lottoswitch.com. We aim to resolve complaints within 5 working days. Unresolved disputes may be escalated to the relevant licensing authority or the courts of Lagos State.
